Authentic Japanese Cuisine by Sugoi Tei | Japanese Fusion Restaurant

So, this post is about our yesterday's getaway.

The first person i heard about this place was my dad, well, actually. So he told me that he went with his sweetest bestfriend ever, which is also my teacher at college. His opinion was unpleasant, honestly, for me who actually been eyeing this spot from not-so-long-ago. He said that the raw fish was smelly yet the price was so pricey. So it killed my curiosity. At once.
But then it begin again when i read a review from a blog which i forgot, about the authentic and so the best japanese ramen in the city. I’ve been a super big fan of ramen, really, both korean nor japanese. Malang itself, have countless eatery that serve various kind of ramen but which also didn’t get my attention at all. They serve ramen like an instant noodle—let’s say indomie kuah or so on—with also a level based of spicyness (usually from 1-3). For me, ramen is an authentic korean nor japanese noodle, with rich chicken, beef or even tonkantsu broth mixed with garlics, green onions and more, half boiled egg and SOFT STRAIGHT noodle instead of curly instant noodle. The spicyness itself should've be set aside, it'll be mixed in based on how spicy we want it to be. *gulp* Yeah, i think ramen is a taste heaven born out from the combination of soft noodle and rich broth. It isn't a taste or even stomach ruiner from the devilish spicy hell in a bowl.

Back to the topic!
I'm not such a hypocrite but, well, this place is also serve that kind of level based spicy ramen and that was my first pick out of the menu to order. But believe me, it was soo good although the taste is a bit ruined by the spicyness that burnt out your mouth. Instead of ramen, spicy food is also my favorite. So i wonder if you can guess why did i choose this menu out of the numerous "general" ramen they served.

Spicy ramen for about 48,000 rupiah. Reasonable enough depend on it's taste and those various mouth-watering toppings!
It was a big feast in a bowl. It contains a generous amount of SOFT STRAIGHT noodle, long grated carrot, siomay, one-but-parted quail egg, some sheet of greens, about 5-6 slices of meatball and a tiny slice of japanese pink-white colored fish cake. The pictures attached on this post were taken during our 3rd (or maybe 4th) visit here, and the menu called Grenedo Spicy Ramen as described above was still my favorite.
The other fella ordered a bowl of Chicken Teriyaki Laksa Ramen which the taste of the broth was soo nearly like a curry. Or maybe if you know what i mean, it tasted more nearly like a padang cuisine named "gulai kalio". The texture of the broth was soo rich that made it thicken. So if you are such a bellyful person then i suggest you do not ever choose this menu.

We both ordered a bowl of 1 spicyness level ramen.
Oh, and you can also ask the waiters to separate the chili so you can mix it later into your noodle according on your own spicy tolerance!

A plate of two tuna nigiri sushi was also on our order list but um... however i'm agree with my dad because the meat was still smelly yet the size was too small at least for us under the price of about 15,000 rupiah. (sorry it's gone in an instant before we could even take a picture!)*

The wooden stick used as a bell to call over the waiters, kkk~

Decide what kind of seat do you want.

The "lesehan" parlor were cozier with a hint of water fountain sound and a dimmed light. Way too perfect for a full stomach! (sorry for no pic)*

So far the best and most complete japanese fusion restaurant around the city! They serve you taste and place, you pay for them. The price is a bit pricey, especially if you are a student or unemployed, but it's reasonable enough for the service. You can also find more japanese foods on the menu. From greentea matcha ice cream as a dessert, various kind of sushi, ramen, soup, hot or cold drinks and more.

Also, hear yourself how they greet you welcome and goodbye. Konnichiwa! Arigatou gozaimasu!
Can you greet them back? Oh, of course in Japanese! :D

See you on the next post!
